Puppy Socialization

For puppies from 10 weeks to 6 months of age, this class covers all the ins and outs of raising your awesome puppy.

We cover the topic of socializing dogs in Vancouver extensively. Puppy play groups and reading dog body language are corner stones to raising a friendly puppy. We also start the puppies on their basic manners like sit, look, come, down, heel, and stay.

Brainstorming on potty training, nipping, jumping up, sleeping, destructive chewing, and barking ensures you are headed in the right direction with your new family member.

    Distraction Program

RocketDog offers an indoor or outdoor distraction program depending on the time of year. Both programs focus on teaching your dog to leave distractions and pay attention to you with the goal of getting your dog off leash.

We use a mixture of distraction work, long leash and off leash training to teach dogs to leave smells, food, other dogs and people, and return to you!

Dogs must have completed any Basic Manners program.

    Feisty Fido

Does your dog bark at other dogs on the street? Have you tried the methods seen on tv, but seen limited success? Did your dog used to like other dogs but is now reactive on the leash? If so, this may be a good class for you and your dog.
This Feisty Fido class works on calming your dog around other dogs. It uses modern methods like reward based training, distance management, skill acquisition though training, and reading subtle dog body language to teach your dog passing other dogs on leash is not a big deal.
