Agility

Dog agility is the sport of racing your dog over a series of obstacles. Its fun to do, and great exercise for you and your dog. Beginner students welcome!
We will teach all the basics including how to train our dogs to safely perform the obstacles, how to handle the dog through a course, and how the sport works.

RocketDog offers two types of agility classes, indoor and outdoor. The indoor classes are best for brand new agility dogs that have low off leash control. The outdoor ones are unfenced and your dog will need some off leash control.

We use a mixture of acclimatization, engagement and relationship training, reward development, distraction work, long leash and off leash training to teach dog to leave smells, food, other dogs and people, and return to you!

This class uses the most current methods being practiced in positive dog training circles.

    Feisty Fido

Does your dog bark at other dogs on the street? Have you tried the methods seen on tv, but seen limited success? Did your dog used to like other dogs but is now reactive on the leash? If so, this may be a good class for you and your dog.
This Feisty Fido class works on calming your dog around other dogs. It uses modern methods like reward based training, distance management, skill acquisition though training, and reading subtle dog body language to teach your dog passing other dogs on leash is not a big deal.
